Headed down to the Old Pueblo to ride some of my favorite roads. Gotta be real careful on this route . Rough roads, coyote crossings, sand and no runoffs. Saguaros and ocotillo make for uncomfortable guard rails. It was a bit smokey, but it’s finally starting to cool off down here, so I’ll take it.
Last time I rode this area
was about twelve years ago on my SV650. Little slower ride this time, but I enjoyed it just as much. Nothing beats cruising around the desert on a cool morning. I’m pretty impressed with the Shinko dual sport tires makes pushing this bike feel a lot safer. The
rear brake bias also shines on these sandy, beat up roads.
Black coffee, a cigar and a ride make for a great Sunday morning.
